GARDENS:

GREENHOUSES: aka herbology greenhouses.

[x] where herbology classes are taught at hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. during the 1996–1997 school year, the greenhouses were also used by the potions club.
the greenhouses have statues of long, serpentine dragons running along the peaked roofs. they are home to many exotic and magical plants including some that are extremely rare, difficult to cultivate and maintain, or even dangerous. they are surround by (or next to) the gardens.

HERBOLOGY GREENHOUSES: see GREENHOUSES for more information.

GREENHOUSE 1: usually used by first year herbology students.

GREENHOUSE 2: another greenhouse where some herbology lessons are taught.

GREENHOUSE 3: used by second to seventh year herbology classes, this greenhouse contained mandrakes. it was later used by horace slughorn to collect supplies for a potion, most likely to not be noticed by anyone.

GREENHOUSE 4: presumably used as a herbology classroom for advanced students.

GREENHOUSE 5: presumably used as a herbology classroom for advanced students who take the subject at N.E.W.T. level.

GREENHOUSE 6: [x] used as a storage space. it is unknown if advanced classes are taught here or not but it is out-of-bounds to first year students and is patrolled by prefects.

GREENHOUSE 7: presumably used as a herbology classroom for more advanced students. the higher the greenhouse number, the more dangerous the plants are.

[x] pasteboards are found in the common rooms, although it's only mentioned that there's one in the gryffindor common room it is assumed that there was one in each. these are noticeboards where students can post lost items notices, announcements about practices, sign ups for house clubs, etc. the head of houses will post important messages on here as well. rarely they will post warnings as well. the latest copies of The Quibbler and The Daily Prophet are pinned here as well for students to read if they wish to.

VIADUCT COURTYARD: the viaduct courtyard, aka the entrance courtyard. a quadrangle in hogwarts castle.

[x] a covered stone cloister with an open colonnade runs around it, and two checkpoint towers flank its entryway via the viaduct. there is a stone walkway leading from this courtyard into the quad, and into the viaduct entrance. the courtyard is partially paved, in a cross pattern. a popular hang-out spot for students of all houses, this courtyard is where some students spend their spare time playing gobstones.

you might remember it as... where umbridge tried to fire sybill trelawney, the courtyard snape looks down at in the dh part(1 or 2?) where the students are being marched in rows, location of the final duel between harry potter and lord voldemort.
